FAQs: The Anchor Creator Portal

  • To add social posts to your storefront:  

    • Navigate to the Anchor Creator Portal. 

    • Make sure your socials are connected! To connect your socials, navigate to your settings in the bottom left corner, head to Social Connections, and connect your Instagram and/or TikTok. 

    • Visit the Storefront page. 

    • Click +Add in the bottom right.  

    • Tap Posts and select if you’d like to add from your Instagram or TikTok.  

    • Select the post you would like to tag products to and click Next.  

    • Add a title and an optional caption and click Next.  

    • Add products to your post from the product catalog or by using a link from the brand’s ecommerce site. 

    • If you're adding products from the catalog, simply tap on the items you'd like to include, then tap Add in the top right corner. Review the selections to ensure everything looks good, and then tap Next to proceed.  

    • If you’re adding by product URL, paste the link and click the arrow. Review the selections to ensure everything looks good, and then tap Next to proceed. 

    • Your post will now appear on your storefront! 

  • An affiliate shortlink is a URL that takes your audience directly to a brand’s e-commerce site, allowing you to earn commission on any sales driven through that link. We’ve seen great success with driving sales through affiliate shortlinks. The fewer clicks it takes someone to make a purchase, the better! 

  • When someone clicks on the "shop" button for a product on any page in a storefront, it brings that shopper to the product page on the brand's e-commerce site. Product clicks are also registered when someone clicks on an affiliate shortlink. 

  • Your current balance is the amount available for cash out, while your pending balance is still within the return window and not yet eligible for payout. If a balance is processing, that means you’ve requested the cash out, it just may not have hit your bank yet. 

  • Commission earnings will appear as Pending until the brand's refund window has closed, which typically takes between 90–120 days. This policy ensures commissions are only paid on finalized sales, as returns during this period may affect eligibility. Once the window has passed, your commission will be approved and ready for payout! 

    • Navigate to the Creator Portal and visit the Earnings page. 

    • To expedite payment, add your tax information and bank details in advance by clicking Edit payment info

    • Earned commission will be pending until the sale has cleared the refund window (this may take up to 120 days). 

    • When you have a cash-out balance over $25, click Cash out

    • Payments may process for 3-5 business days, depending on your bank and/or cash-out method. 

  • Payments will appear on your statements from ProjectFortyTwoL. 

  • You can still manage your brand-dedicated storefront through your Motom profile, but we highly recommend using the Anchor Creator Portal to access the full suite of tools available for you to perfect your performance. On the Anchor Creator Portal, you can view powerful analytics including storefront, shopper, and product data – along with insights about your authenticated social media accounts, as well. This is also the only place you can communicate directly with your brand partners. If you’re not using the Portal, you might miss crucial information about special promotions and exclusive partnership opportunities!
